The stupid Filter Key menu comes up. So I researched more and found this. Everytime I pick it up the computer from Apple, it works. Believe it or not, this worked for me on my Logitech wireless keyboard too. I tried to check in control panel but got lost.
I had A on the notepad! In the past 6 months the fan and bottom casing has been replaced. This did not work for me. Important: You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears. I tried uninstalling the Keyboard driver and reinstalling it, unplugging it, using a restoring point, turning my computer off, etc. Lol Sorted Not hard At All. I did not even hit ok…just the X to get rid of the dialog box! I would recommend trying it once….
Dear all, I have the same problem as the previous user. I've had this reoccurring problem where Windows behaves as if the left shift key is stuck. So, my advice to those typing on a MacBook model with a butterfly keyboard -- the current MacBook Pro models and the -- is to keep a can of compressed air on hand. There are other combination errors too. Try tapping it a few times to get it moving, or get a can of compressed air and blow it around the sides of the keys. I also type an upper case letter or two and have to continuously backtrack to correct it on most occasions. Do You think the problem is firmware? You're getting a new top case no matter what.
After I uninstalled it my shift key works fine now. Example: kK bB I have already replaced the keyboard thinking that was the problem but I now think it must be a setting that was changed. I thought that I will share this information and maybe it will be useful for someone : I've had the same issue after holding down or mashing shift sticky keys. In the corner it says Safe Boot in red which I assume is what happens when you press gift while booting up the computer. The least efficient solution is tapping the shift key a couple of times to toggle the key case state, then holding the shift key and tapping a number to activate the character above it, but this method is wonky and difficult to get right. Is there a way to manually connect the power button to the pins in the logic board for turning the mac on? The only problem that I still have is that the left shift button seems to be stuck. Rebooted from Time Capsule restore dated a month ago and its still doing it. When I traded my old MacBook Pro for a , it took me a few days to get accustomed to typing on the shallow, butterfly keyboard. The default panel that comes up will in fact be for the keyboard options. I pressed the left shift key twice, the right shift key twice, then turned off the keyboard and back on. The left arrow key missing just the cap. It is granted solely at the moderator's discretion.

Wondering why the blue colour shift lock key on the pop up keyboard has been replaced with grey colour changes when in other apps like, Maps, Mail, Phone, Calculator, Clock, Photos, Camera,.
